The Cloudy Collection started as a simple idea to collaborate on some letterpress prints with some artists whose work I love. The project is having a fantastic first year, and I have plans to expand the idea in 2010.
A simple two-color logo does its best not to distract from the real stars of the show: the letterpress prints and the artists who designed them. Much like this cloudy/co website, the website for the Cloudy Collection is built on the Wordpress blog engine, so everything you see is simply a carefully-layed-out blog post, based on a four-column grid.
The prints we create are two-color letterpress prints, made on sustainable bamboo paper with vegetable-based inks. A portion of the sales goes to The Nature Conservancy, and the printer we use, Boxcar Press, uses 100% windpower to work their magic. We sell the prints in sets of seven, for a reasonable price, and they are cut to 4"x6", so you can hang them in a standard photo frame. Everything about the project is intended to make it easier for you to own and enjoy great artwork.
